BioHmmmmmmmmmm, me, me, what to say about me...*ponders*, Ok, I'm a slightly odd, rather random student at Durham university doing Combined honours in social sciences. And I'm not going to bother going into what that degree actually is as I'm quite frankly, really, really lazy and it takes too long. (A fact I bemoan everytime I'm asked to say what I study in Japanese class.) On that note though I'm a very lazy procrastinator who sleeps more than should be humanly possible considering I wake up and still want to sleep more. I'm hopelessly indecisive about all things and when i do make a decision its pretty much guareented to be thoroughly doubted and questioned afterwards, an activity I'm sure will end up intruding into this journal at some point.
I love fantasy worlds, whether they're mine or somebody else's that they've kindly let me invade. My love of all things magical and mystical has led me to a variety of places from TV shows like Buffy and Charmed to a huge variety of books from HP to Elizabeth Haydon. This love has also deeply influenced my own writing whose meaning is often incomprehensible to anyone apart from me, and sometimes even i struggle. My love of fantasy also had a lot to do with one of my other loves - Japan. To me Japan always seemed to have kept more of a feel of mystery, magic and wonder than any other country I know. The language and the culture are both fantastic and i manage to love the old traditional japan and the new modern japan with equal abandon!
I went on a little fandom break recently but I'm getting back into the things I love and adding more and more to the collection all the time! Its kind of weird relearning the ways and rules of fandoms and I'm way behind where I'd like to be - but i'm a quick study!
I have a deep dark Tenipuri obsession and I'm just as addicted to the Tenimyu boys, somehow every last one of them has me wrapped around their little finger. Which when you consider how many of them there are is probably quite worrying. I'm not particularly contributing much to the fandom right now (I'm still working up the courage to inflict myself upon the fandom) I can still devour fics and pics and anything and everything else at an alarming rate of knots! And whilst Tenipuri/myu still owns my soul most, I am also highly addicted to furuba, Saiyuki, Tsubasa Chronicle, OTRFK and many others. To be perfectly honest, a fangirl through and through, glomps, squees and all.
